TGE ELEVATE

TGE Elevate at The Great Escape

The career development programme from CMU:DIY and The Great Escape

TGE Elevate is the professional development programme for early-career music business executives and entrepreneurs, presented by The Great Escape and CMU, and funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

The programme returned in 2021 as part of the online TGE Conference. 30 early-career music business executives and entrepreneurs got an enhanced and curated experience as part of this year’s TGE, while a series of online Elevate Seminars offered practical advice on a range of music business topics for aspiring artists, songwriters, managers, promoters, label and publishing execs, and anyone interested in working in the music industry.

THE SUPER DELEGATES
Each year, TGE works with a number of its industry partners to identify early-career music business executives and entrepreneurs who will most benefit from participating in the core TGE Elevate programme. These super-delegates get free access to the whole of the TGE festival and conference, as well as bespoke webinars, networking opportunities and Q&A sessions with leading industry executives, both before and during TGE itself.

Each team of TGE super-delegates includes a diverse mix of early-career managers, promoters, marketeers and label executives, as well as self-managed artists and entrepreneurs developing innovative music businesses. As well as benefiting from the TGE experience, this team forms their own professional development network, able to share ideas, insights, advice and information between the group.

THE ELEVATE WEBINARS
TGE and CMU also present a series of Elevate Webinars each year, offering practical advice on a range of music business topics for aspiring artists, songwriters, managers, promoters, label and publishing execs, and anyone interested in working in the music industry.

The webinars provide user-friendly beginner’s guides to music copyright, music data, streaming, and building and running a successful music business.
